Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday May 3, 2021

The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:01 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President David Gilmour

Attendance – 19 members: Doris Avery, Christine Burton, Marta Nettelfield, Francine Gillanders, Michael Hockley, Jenny and Michael Catton, Lee & Mary Jane Nowak, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Tammy Ranta, Akshatha Shetty, Peggy-Ann SImoneau, Leah Quiting, Karen Parton,Deanne Sinnott, Cindy Thomas, Mary Curl

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes: 

Dave: I would like to call the meeting to order and we will start with everyone signing in with their name.

Dave: Everyone should of had a chance to read last month's minutes. Is there any errors or omission?

• If none I move the minutes be adopted as written2nd by Doris
• JennyL: Motion to accept minutes, seconded by Tammy

Dave: Is there any business arising from the minutes?
If not, can we have the treasurer's report

Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long

                Dave: I haven't heard from Kim and Mary hasn't either so we will make sure it is attached to the minutes
Added after meeting:

• MARCH  31, 2021 - Balance - $7196.05
• Credit – Service Charge – 19.00, Paper Statement, $2.00, Hostsmart.ca (Website) - $110.00
• Debit – Nil
• April 30/2021
• Balance - $7065.05

Moving onto committee reports starting with show committee

Show Committee: Mary, Shirley, Patti, Dave

• Dave: We will go through the committee reports now. Is there any thing from the show committee?
• Mary: No report

Programme: Jane, not in attendance

Dave: I don't see any of the other directors here so anything from membership

Membership Committee: Doris

• Doris: Akshatha Shetty will be starting her Probationary Membership this month. Welcome to the BCC Akshatha!
• Dave: Thanks Doris
• Many members welcomed Akshatha

Obedience Committee:  Marta Nettelfield

• Marta: No Report

Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley, Marta, Cindy

• Mary: I am working on getting the awards from 2020 up on the site.  The list has gone out to the Cattons to send

Fund Raising Committee:  Patti

• Dave: We have nothing for Fundraising or general correspondence

Reading of General Correspondence: Mellissa   (not in attendance)

Old Business: 
Mary: The only thing I have is to remind everyone there is till the 15th for nominations for the elections
